Alexandro Pelaez, a Venezuelan photographer based in London, has developed two new series of work based on Londoners: be it as their professional environments surrounded by the tools used on their trade; be it as locations they may cross on their way to work as landmarks.
Titled “Londoners and their Environments” and curated by Mara Alves, the exhbition at Piccadilly’s Herrick Gallery consists of a series of photographs documenting professionals based in London and spaces they may cross on their way to work as imaginary journeys.
Claire Meadows, editor in chief and founder of After Nyne will be hosting a Q&A with Pelaez and Alves at the opening of this fascinating new exhibition. The artist and curator will discuss the ethos behind the exhibition, what makes London a fascinating subject and more. Sign up today – RSVP essential as space is limited.
