As part of an ongoing media partnership, After Nyne Magazine and Art on a Postcard will be presenting an exclusive talk in support of the Photography on a Postcard project on May 14th. The talk will form part of Art on a Postcard’s presence at Photo London.
After Nyne Editor in Chief & Founder Claire Meadows will chair a discussion between photographers Laura Pannack and Jenny Lewis, exploring the topic Photographing Femininity.
Laura and Jenny both have very different ways of working and create very different dialogues with their audiences, and the talk will set out to explore this, and ways in which feminine form and practice influence both artists.
The event will be held at the Exhibitionist Hotel, South Kensington’s original art hotel, which has a long history of supporting artists and promotion of women in art.
Claire Meadows, Editor in Chief of After Nyne Magazine says
‘If anytime is right to explore the feminine, both in spirit and practice, it’s now. This talk is a timely exploration of the power of feminine vision in creativity.’
Gemma Peppe, Director of Art on a Postcard says
‘I’m delighted that Laura and Jenny are participating in this year’s Photography on a Postcard and look forward to hearing about their different approaches to photographing femininity ’
Vestalia Chilton, curator, Exhibitionist Hotel, says
‘We’re utterly thrilled to be presenting this discussion in support of Art on a Postcard’s work at Photo London. Both myself, and the team at the Exhibitionist Hotel love to provide a platform for enterprising young creative to present their work and explore their ideas.’
