It seems that London’s mantra is work hard and play harder- or at least that’s how it seems in the city. Every city boy worth his salt needs a good watering hole, and so to The Trading House. A Thursday evening visit set the tone for a full house with smart guys in suits, proving that Thursday really is the new Friday.
The bar itself is quite old school with wood panelling and eccentric decorations, including a mounted zebra head, and a live band which made for a lively atmosphere.
The Trading House offers an extensive drinks menu featuring spiced-twist cocktails as well as a very British G&T list. On our visit the raspberry amaretto sour was a fragrant favourite and the cardamom-scented Old Fashioned offered a more sophisticated take on a classic.
If you’re in the City and looking for a fun place to unwind, you can’t go wrong with The Trading House- now to start working your way through that menu!
