Bottomless brunches have been hitting London in a big way recently and the latest on the scene is Pizzabuzz in the City. We went down on Saturday to check it out and can confirm After Nyne welcomes the addition of Pizzabuzz to the city.
We started with our first glass of many of the bottomless fizzy wine glera, which if you haven’t tried it before will remind you of prosecco but a little lighter. Next was the option to create you’re perfect pizza from a long bar with every topping and sauce you could possibly wish for.
The extremely helpful and friendly staff are on hand to give advice at each stage. The end result for my friend was a tasty pesto and prawn concoction. However, if you are extremely indecisive like me and the thought of choosing from all those combinations seems overwhelming, do not fret. There is a Worship Street Loves menu with pre designed pizzas on it.
I went for the veal meatballs which consisted of crushed tomatoes, mozzarella, veal meatballs, caramelised onions, sage and prosciutto. For someone who normally worries that there might not be enough meat on a pizza this option definitely didn’t disappoint. Amongst other options there is also an all-day breakfast pizza if you really want to maximise the brunch theme. The pizza bases are made out of a spelt mixture and Pizzabuzz will kindly let you go home with your own 1.5kg bag of the exclusive Pizzabuzz flour.
After ordering the pizzas we got slightly distracted from the fizzy drinks machine with 125 different combinations of sodas. That combined with pizzabuzz’s use of the fly pay app (where you can pay and order on your phone) made me feel like the future is really here!
As if the drinks machine hadn’t left me feeling enough like an over excited child we then had a glance at the ice cream menu. Pizzabuzz make their own ice cream using only the best ingredients. We finished up with one goats milk chocolate ice cream and one rich cow’s milk bubblegum ice cream (and of course another glass of Glera).
The benefits of the spelt wheat were really felt at the end when instead of rolling home feeling bloated we left contently full and a little tipsy!
