This Sunday was a drizzly one but in true British fashion we didn’t let the weather and a slight hangover stop us from enjoying (in my opinion) the best day of the week. Stylish plastic ponchos at the ready we headed down to Dalston Roof Park for Barefoot Refresh Summer Cool Down.
We were treated to the full range of Barefoot light and fizzy summer wines. Great for summer, regardless of how lucky you are with the weather. Food was provided by Toms’ Feast who have a permanent residency at Dalston Roof Park cooking delicious Middle Eastern BBQ dishes. The menu included smoked ham wraps, chorizo kofta and halloumi with roasted vegetables.
Barefoot went all out with a giant foam pit, cooling CO2 and glitter jets and coloured water shooters. If you wanted even more sparkle there were also glitter body painters to hand. Serious girl power was coming from the DJ both with guest DJs Zara Martin and Goldierocks who kept us entertained into the evening.
This was the first of a series of pop up events Barefoot will be hosting this summer across the city. Check out the @after_nyne instagram for our photos of the event.
