Roger Michael’s 50th Birthday Celebration Marks the Return of I AM ROCKSTAR to Boujis

At an event fit for a rock star, nightlife promoter and entrepreneur Roger Michael celebrated his 50th birthday at London member’s club Boujis on June 23rd.

The event also marked the return to Bouji’s of Roger’s infamous I AM ROCKSTAR Tuesday night events.

In 2009, ninemsn Travel wrote, ‘Boujis in Kensington has a reputation around the world for catering to the rich and famous’ and ‘arguably the most popular night at Boujis is Tuesday’.

The article went on to say that the night was popular with celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Uma Thurman and that others were known for attending, including David Furnish, Mickey Rourke, Kate Middleton (before her marriage), Anna Chapman (before her indictment as a spy), Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince, Janet Jackson, Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, Will.i.am, Leonardo DiCaprio and Avril Lavigne.

‘We are very excited for Roger Michael and the return of his infamous I AM ROCKSTAR Tuesdays. This night is famous as being the night of the stars, and we look forward to its return on Roger’s 50th birthday’, said Carlo Carello, General Manager of Boujis and Director of Business Development at the Ignite Group.

During a career spanning over two decades, Roger Michael has been credited with reviving London’s somewhat-jaded nightlife scene in the early 90s and bringing stylish A-list-celebrity-heavy nightlife back to the forefront. He was featured in the London Evening Standard’s Power 1000 List in 2009 and 2010. In 2012, he was nominated for the London Lifestyle Awards’ Personality of the Year Award, coming in as runner up to London Mayor Boris Johnson. In 2013, Roger was awarded the Services to the Nightlife Industry Award at the London Club and Bar Awards.
