Armani is getting it’s own MUSEUM! (and it opens tonight!)

This Works

Because nothing says Happy 40th like an investment of €50 Million huh?

One of Italy’s most renowned labels Armani recently announced plans to open their own 600 piece exhibit in the heart of Milan, and crikey they work quick – it opens tonight! Talking to WWD, Armani said:

“I don’t want this space to be static; I plan to renew the displays with pieces from the new collections every six months.”

The Museum is set to house over 600 original garments from the Italian designer, in an old Nestlé factory no less – the space has since been renamed Silos Armani.

“This project has been in my mind for so long,” Armani told  WWD. “I maintained the name Silos because I like it. It contained food, which you need for life, just as wearing clothes is part of life.”

The space is set to open tonight with the theme of the opening being “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” and for which Armani is a special ambassador – with an extravagant runway show, featuring one of the designers eponymous collections.
